Warm Up Ideas part 2

Part 1 Part 3
These group warm up ideas are good for groups that want to learn a little bit more about the different members of the group. They are designed to get a group thinking and talking about things below the surface.

Thinking On Leadership
Have each person write down all the qualities of a good leader. Give them a set amount of time, such as two minutes. Then have each person share one quality of a good leader with the group. Discuss how simulations can help develop each quality.

Three Heroes
Each participant is asked to think of 3 famous people and write each name on a separate note card:
One person famous for being smart
One person famous for doing something heroic
One person famous for doing good
The cards are put into a hat and each person draws a card, reads the name and answers the following questions about the hero’s name they drew.
What part of you might be similar to this famous person?
Would you like to be more like this famous person and if so how?
The facilitator can keep passing the cards arounds until the group runs out of time or until everyone has answered the questions for three cards. Cards could be saved for future meetings.

What would you grab in a Fire?
Pose this question to the group, “If your house caught on fire and you only had time to grab three things, what would you take?” Assume that any family members or pets were already safely out of the house. Allow each person to answer the three things they would choose.
