This is the power of inspiring. The mentor was excited and interested in the topic, and she thought of how she could reach her class. She met them at their level, and was able to infuse fun and facts into their experience.
This is also the power of working with a group in a co-op or commonwealth setting. Each mentor mom brings her own unique flavor to the class that she teaches. She connects in her own way to the material, choosing what she will cover, and she focuses on the group of children she is mentoring. Some really amazing things can happen when you come together in a group and allow mentors to touch the lives of a group of children.
Not every mentor in a group will dress up for class, and even those that do may not do it every time we meet. Each class will be a unique experience and each mentor will use their own learning and knowledge to help them approach the classes. This synergy is part of the power of the group setting.
What can you do to inspire those you mentor?
